The Athenians describe the syllogos as a place of gathering, an assembly where the young are mingled with the old. The syllogos would be comprised of priests, and among the priests are those who have received the highest distinction, and then amongst the guardians of the law, are the oldest.
SYLLOGOS Beirut - a project which revolves around drafting and cutting a capsule of unique tailored pieces of classic-inspired detailing, fine stitching and finishing, hand padding, and sartorial tailored silhouettes of rare fabrics and rich color palettes.
Recorded by a pen and a measuring tape, and hand drawn with chalk and a ruler, each piece will be drafted by an experienced craftsperson and will yield a precise piece in terms of silhouette and fit.
the project syllogos’ comes as a response against the decline of bespoke craft in lebanon.and the absence of support towards its custodians. It was launched to support local tailors with 65 % of the proceedings of each piece will be dedicated to its maker.
SYLLOGOS Beirut - was contrived by ali jaber, and born out of an experiential love affair with bespoke tailoring and warm affinity towards lebanese craftspeople,
